Prosecution in the Mansoura city in the Daqahliya governorate issued a 15 day detention order to the 10 Muslim Brotherhood members who were arrested yesterday. Personal belongings, documents and computers were confiscated from their homes and charges leveled against them include belonging to an outlawed and banned movement.

Security forces had raided the political detainees' homes dawn Sunday, in what has become the only method the ruling regime applies to political dissidents despite assurances that there would be integrity during the elections.

MB chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie had announced Saturday October 9 in a press conference that the MB would participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for late November despite calls for boycotting by other political opposition factions. The announcement prompted security apparatus to invade and raid homes of the MB members and it is expected there will be an escalation of arrests and barbaric invasions of MB members in most of Egypt 's governorates.

The arrests have been condemned by numerous institutions and organizations and human rights have called on the government to end its repression and to cease intimidating opposition.
