In a telephone call, Muslim Brotherhood (MB) Chairman Dr. Mohamed Badie offered his condolences on behalf of the MB to Egypt’s Mufti, Dr. Ali Gomaa over the death of prominent Al-Azhar Sheik Emad Effat who was shot at his heart as Military Police violently dispersed a sit-in from outside the Cabinet headquarters on Friday.

Dr. Abdul Rahman el Bar, Executive Bureau member, represented the MB during the funeral prayers which took place following the Asr prayers earlier today.

Meanwhile, Executive Bureau Chairman Dr Mohamed Morsi delegated the party’s Executive bureau member in Cairo Dr. Mohamed Beltagy to join the funeral prayers.
